On 11/11/2022, Hanoi National University of Civil Engineering (HUCE) solemnly held a National Perfection Council Meeting of the Training Program of Excellent Engineers in Vietnam (PFIEV) to summarize the activities in 2022 and set the operational direction for 2023.

The PFIEV program was established in 1999 under an educational cooperation agreement between the Vietnamese and French governments. In Vietnam, four leading technical universities have been selected to participate in the PFIEV program, including: Hanoi University of Civil Engineering, Hanoi University of Science and Technology, University of Science and Technology – University of Danang and University of Science and Technology and Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology. On the French side, a consortium of leading universities that are partners of PFIEV was established to advise on the program including: École des Ponts ParisTech, INSA de Lyon, Ecole Centrale de Paris, Grenoble INP, Université de Poitiers, Toulouse INP, Télécom Bretagne and the Lycée Louis le Grand.
In the opening speech of the session, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Duy Hoa – Secretary of the Party Committee, Rector of Hanoi University of Civil Engineering, the host university organized this year’s CNP meeting on behalf of four universities participating in the PFIEV program in Vietnam welcomes the delegates to the meeting, thanks for the support and deep interest of the Vietnamese Ministry of Education and Training, the French Ministry of Higher Education and Research, the French Embassy in Vietnam, Vietnamese and French partner schools and Vietnamese Universities that participate in the PFIEV program.

Over the years, the French Embassy in Vietnam has had many activities to help develop the program such as supporting the invitation of native teachers to teach French for PFIEV students, connecting with French businesses through the French Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Vietnam (CCIFV), supporting PFIEV students to study in France, etc.

The combination of French partner schools always accompanies and supports Vietnamese schools in activities such as accrediting the PFIEV training program with CTI, participating in the French-Vietnamese Graduation Council, exchanging lecturers and students. , building a common website of PFIEV and many other activities.

On this occasion, Louis Le Grand High School gave a school’s medal to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Duy Hoa – Rector of Hanoi University of Civil Engineering for his great contributions for PFIEV program, and at the same time showing friendship between two French-Vietnamese consortiums.
