The traditional football tournament of PFIEV students this year 2022 is held annually to celebrate Vietnamese Teachers’ Day. The opening ceremony and the first match took place on Sunday, November 20, 2022 at Thanh Cong – Kim Giang – Thanh Tri – Hanoi football field. After nearly a month of competition, the closing ceremony to summarize and award prizes was held on Sunday, December 11, 2022, also at the same football field.
Overview of the opening ceremony of the PFIEV students football tournament
This year the tournament attracted 16 participating teams, including 5 student teams from the PFIEV, 5 guest teams, 6 teams of alumni and enterprises of the PFIEV. The matches were exciting and attractive in the spirit of fair play and friendship, but still showed fierceness in each phase of the ball. After 32 matches, the Organizing Committee found the Champion of the tournament – the student team of Class 62 PFIEV, the Second Prize belonged to the XF alliance team and the Third prize belonged to the 61 PFIEV alliance team. In addition, the Organizing Committee awarded the Top Scorer award to player Nguyen Van Chieu of Vifatec football team (PFIEV alumni ‘s enterprise), Golden Glove Award to goalkeeper Hoang Lam Dat from XF Alliance team, and Fair Play team award for Vifatec team.

Speaking at the closing ceremony, Dr. Tong Ngoc Tu – Head of Board of Management and Training of Excellent engineers congratulated to all participating teams and teams with good achievements and awarded individuals. He affirmed that this is a very useful playground for PFIEV students and Alumni in particular and the Francophonie in general, contributing to increasing cohesion and exchange between generations of PFIEV students. The PFIEV Board always supports and creates favorable conditions for the PFIEV students football tournament to take place successfully and always welcomes Alumni and businesses to attend the PFIEV students traditional football tournament. He also praised the Organizing Committee (students of Class 64) for working hard and trying their best to make the tournament go well.

The tournament ended with many joyful emotions, excitement, solidarity and friendship among the participating teams. Through this tournament, the students were physically trained, exchanged and learned between courses and with fellow alumni, thereby energizing their study and training to achieve better results.
