In the jubilant atmosphere of the November celebration, November 24, 2019 afternoon, National University of Civil Engineering (NUCE) solemnly held an intimate meeting between generations of teachers and alumni on the occasion of the occasion. 20 years of establishment of the PFIEV Program. This activity is part of a series of events to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the program, to meet and appreciate the teachers of the generations of students on the occasion of Vietnam’s Teacher’s Day, and to help us look at Back the 20-year journey, strengthening solidarity, exchanges and learning among generations of alumni for the common development of the University and the high-quality engineering board.
Attending the meeting were: Assoc.Prof. Dr. Pham Duy Hoa – Secretary of Party Committee, Rector of NUCE; Prof. Dr. Nguyen Nhu Khai – Former Rector of the University; Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Nhu Hung – Former Vice Rector of the University; Assoc.Prof. Dr. Pham Xuan Anh – Vice Rector of NUCE; Assoc.Prof. Dr. Ho Ngoc Khoa – President of Union of School Union; MSc. Ngo Kim Tuan – Secretary of Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, with teachers, heads of faculties, institutes and departments are working at the school. On the PFIEV-NUCE Department, there were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Hung Cuong – Chairman; MSc. Nguyen Thi Truc Quynh – Deputy Chairman of the PFIEV-NUCE; Assoc.Prof.Dr. Doan Nhu Kim – Former Advisor of the Administrator, Dr. Mai Van Duoc – Former of the PFIEV-NUCE Department, with the teachers, she has been working and teaching at the committee, the generation of alumni from Class 44 to Class 59 – PFIEV.
Speaking at the meeting, Assoc.Prof. Dr. Pham Duy Hoa – Secretary of the Party Committee, Rector of NUCE shared that since the first course of enrollment in 1999, teachers and students of NUCE have experienced difficult first steps, difficult and unfamiliar with the training program transferred from the French partners, with the support of leading experts of the University at that time, such as lecturer Nhu Khai, lecturer. Doan Nhu Kim, lecturer Nguyen Khac Hung, lecturer Do Ba Chuong, etc. After 20 years, NUCE is proud to be one of the four schools participating in the project and has achieved proud achievements in training high-quality human resources according to advanced training models of developed countries. To date, NUCE has had 1000 students of PFIEV graduated. PFIEV students are taught by French partner programs, with the motto of training engineers with broad background and expertise, training programs focusing on developing knowledge, skills and real competencies. In particular, pay special attention to the capacity to develop thinking and entrepreneurial skills. Therefore, the engineers who graduated from PFIEV program in recent years of four universities in general and NUCE in particular have confirmed their quality and differences. Among nearly 1,000 PFIEV students who have graduated from NUCE, nearly 200 students have been studying, working and living in European countries. The growth and success of alumni are also the pride of the University. The school always wants to increase the cohesion with alumni of NUCE. To date, the University has established many alumni liaison boards and active communication boards, such as Alumni Association of Quang Ninh, Nghe An, Tuyen Quang, Ho Chi Minh City and southern provinces. On this occasion, the University officially announced the decision to establish the PFIEV Alumni Liaison Committee.
