In order to prepare well for the national Olympic (OLP) exam, to encourage and motivate students to take the exam, on the afternoon of April 12, 2019, the National University of Civil Engineering held a “Opening Ceremony”. Olympic teams in the school year 2018-2019 ”.
Attending the ceremony, there were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Xuan Anh – Vice Rector of the school; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Phu Doanh – Deputy Head of Training Department; MSc. Speaking at the meeting, Assoc.Prof. Dr. Pham Xuan Anh – Vice Rector emphasized that the Olympic exam is an opportunity for students to rub and challenge themselves, and more than that, after graduation, Olympic students also receive priority when applying for jobs. In previous years, NUCE had a long track record of achievement in Olympic competitions. He believes that students taking part in this year’s contest will continue the achievements of the University. The contest of excellent students and Olympic is an annual movement of the University. This is not only a playground for students to improve their knowledge but also create more motivation for them in the learning and training process.
The results from the OLP exams partly reflect the teaching and learning quality of students and teachers of the school. The movement has always received the close guidance and guidance of the school leaders, expressed through the constant attention of urging as well as the regime for teachers to guide and students to participate. The achievements of the OLP teams in recent years have affirmed the prestige and brand of the school.
To prepare for this year’s exam, the organizers have launched the Good student exam room in the whole school since December 2018. The Good student exam held in January 2019 attracted the attention of 277 students. an increase of nearly 8% compared to 2018 (256 students). With the dedication of the instructors and the efforts of the students, the exam ended successfully with encouraging achievements with: 30 First prizes, 57 Second prizes, 89 Third prizes
Results from the Olympic examinations partly reflect the teaching and learning quality of students and lecturers in the school. The movement has always received the attention and guidance of the school leaders, showing the constant attention of the teachers to guide the students of the team. The achievements of the Olympic team in recent years has contributed to asserting the prestige and brand of the University.
After the Good student exam, the organizers organized OLP preparation sessions (14 teams) for 9 weeks. The number of students taking part in the preparation of OLP exam in the school year 2018-2019 has not increased much, but in general the quality of the teams has increased (this is reflected in the number of Good student exams).
